Haluk is a venture capitalist with a passion for transformative technologies, particularly in and around industrial decarbonization. Haluk’s passion for decarbonization is rooted in his experience growing up in a developing economy and witnessing the importance of having affordable and clean energy security. Born and raised in Turkey, Haluk realizes the climate crisis is both the greatest challenge of today’s generation and the greatest opportunity for uniting all stakeholders.

At 8090 Industries, Haluk’s day-to-day job is to extend 8090’s reach outside the United States by onboarding strategic partners and engineering commercial outcomes for portfolio companies. Moreover, Haluk is a Special Advisor to Sabanci Ventures (the CVC of Sabanci Holding), which invests in climate-tech, advanced materials, fintech, and AI.

Prior to joining 8090 Industries, Haluk was a B2B SaaS investor at General Atlantic. Haluk holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and resides in London.
