Garuth is a member of 8090's investment team focused on our deep tech thesis across space, defense and decarbonization.

Prior to 8090, Garuth spent time in operations and strategy roles at Amazon (Project Kuiper), SpaceX, Blue Origin, the Department of Defense and GE.

Garuth has lived and worked across the world: wrestling rattlesnakes in Texas, dune bashing in the Middle East and on Silicon Beach building rockets destined for Mars. Growing up the son of a computer science professor, he's been surrounded by quantum computing, AI and machine learning since he was a kid. Garuth believes in deep tech because he's seen it change lives, from Starlink providing internet to victims in warzones to leveraging innovative grid systems to electrify Sub-Saharan Africa.

Garuth holds a B.S. in nuclear engineering and mechanical engineering from Penn State, M.S. in systems engineering from Cornell and an MBA from Wharton.
