Filip Vurdelja is a Partner, the Head of Capital Markets and Investor Relations at 8090 Industries. 8090 Industries focuses on investing in and accelerating breakthrough companies in the decarbonization, aerospace and defense, and deep tech spheres. The firm has partnered with over 20 of the largest industrial leaders in the world today and, together with its affiliates, has grown to over $200M AUM since 2020.

Prior to joining 8090 Industries, Filip spent 9 years at BlackRock where he was a Vice President at the Official Institutions Group. During his time at the firm, Filip established and grew strategic partnerships with long-term institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds, and government agencies across the firm’s entire gamut of solutions including investment management, advisory, and technology. Filip also executed key initiatives on behalf of the firm globally, including the Heads of State Summit in a key country in the Middle East, where he researched and identified long-term investments in the non-oil sector to help attract foreign capital and diversify economic growth. Filip also contributed to incubating BlackRock’s new climate finance-focused strategies in the private markets.

Filip began his career at Kansai Helios, one of the world’s leading paint and industrial coatings producers, where he led and executed various go-to-market initiatives in Poland and the broader Central and Eastern European region. 

Filip received a Master of Science in Finance from University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stetson University.
