Ryan Musto is a Principal at 8090 Industries, where he focuses on investments across defense, advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, and critical infrastructure. Prior to joining 8090, Ryan was a Principal at Alumni Ventures, where he led investments across DefenseTech and HardTech, with a focus on maritime technologies, critical minerals, and industrial resilience.
Earlier in his career, Ryan co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Cityline Technologies, an AI-enabled real estate underwriting company acquired by RentButter. Ryan holds an M.Sc. with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a B.A. from Cornell University in Near Eastern Studies and History. He is an Associate Member of The Economic Club of New York, speaks Arabic fluently, and has published on defense and industrial policy.
